The decision for the postage stamp of the month June 2021 has been made. It is the volcano postage stamp from Japan.
The key issue for me was the theme and the design of the stamp.
The stamp shows the Japanese volcano Sakurajima. It is one of the most active volcanoes in Japan. In 1914 there was a very powerful eruption. It is 1117m high. In 1988 there was a volcano conference. The kagoshima international conference on volcanoes. The postage stamp was issued for this conference.
