On July 8th I received the first postcard from India.
It was a very nice orchid postcard. This showed a Dendrobium gibsonii orchid. This occurs mainly in China, the Himalayas and northern Indochina.
The corresponding postage stamp also showed the same orchid.
He didn’t write very much. He’s from Madurai. This is an Indian city with around 1 million inhabitants.
The postcard had two more stamps.
The postcard covered 7,469 kilometers, that’s 4,641 miles, in 19 days.
