I have chosen Johann Sebastian Bach’s Irish postage stamp for February 2021 stamp of the month.
Johann Sebastian Bach lived from 1685 to 1750. In 1750 he died in Leipzig, what was then Electoral Saxony.
He was one of the most famous composers already in his day.
He was also a respected organist.
To list all of his works and his life’s work here would almost be a separate website.
It is simply a beautiful postage stamp from Ireland that honors him and therefore the postage stamp of the month for me.
